​Burgess Engineering and XO Consultants Improve Processes

Burgess Engineering has teamed with XO Consultants to assist the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) - Aviation in Richmond to improve contract management processes and ensure they are ready for any future audit.  Staff from both companies will be located on-site working with DLA staff to standardize contract developme​nt processes using benchmark methods developed by the Defense Acquisition University.

​Burgess Engineering Awarded Comprehensive Airfield Planning ​Project

A team including Delta Airport Consultants, Inc. and SEPI Engineering & Construction was awarded a 14-task contract to provide assist Joint Base Andrews identify and alleviate airfield obstructions, to organize a multi-year airfield project program, and to develop a multi-phase plan for new apron lighting.  SEPI will conduit the airfield obstruction survey using Light Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) technology which rapidly detects and records object locations using light.

Burgess Engineering holds Airport Lighting & Pavement Maintenance Seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

David Burgess taught a very successful technical seminar on Airfield Lighting and Pavement Maintenance in Kuala Lumpur. Thirteen (13) civilian and military delegates participants came from Australia, China, Fiji Islands, Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, and Malaysia. Burgess Engineering design wins IESALC 2012 Air Carrier Award

Burgess Engineering's airfield lighting design for the Rehabilitation and Extension of Runway 14-12 at Salisbury-Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport won the Illuminating Engineering Society Aviation Lighting Committee 2012 Air Carrier Award. The airport lighting design was completed under subcontract to Delta Airport Consultants, and program manager Marshall Eichfeld.
